Bucket List update and Tarot and Oracle cards.

I wanted to update my bucket list and this is one of those things that has been on a mental bucket list. You know the ones you file away for a rainy day. Well, this set of tarot cards has been on one of those lists. I fell in love with Ian Daniels' art when I picked up the book Vampires, A Field Guide to the Creatures that Stock the Night several years ago for book research and fun! When I learned the artist had a tarot deck, it went on my "I need/want/going to get someday" list. That counts as a bucket list, because I said so.

These cards are just beautiful.

Anyway, we picked them up at Hasting's this weekend and they did not disappoint. In fact, they are lovelier than I had imagined. It's not just a regular tarot deck. It is so much more! You get a tarot profile per se. For instance my dynasty card is The Moon, from there I have a blood line card, a Vampire court card, and a Vampire clan card and those create your profile and then from there you look at those cards to find images and things that relate to you. There is a lot more to it, I haven't read all of the information in the book, but I will.

My friend Fiona surprised us this weekend by giving us her Oracle of Shadows deck. I couldn't believe it A) because I have wanted them since I saw them some time ago and B) because she collects tarot and oracle cards and they aren't cheap.

On to the actual bucket list for this year...

9th annual Mad Tea Party (my 1st)

Yesterday was the day of the Mad Tea Party! Amanda and I celebrated with our own "Mad Hatter" and Narcisa. We very well couldn't leave the kitty out of the mix, not when she was so interested. I would like to apologize for not getting the pictures up sooner. Amanda and I haven't been feeling the best lately, and we decided to relax, do some numerology, tarot, and simply relax a little afterward before heading out to see the movie Inside Out at a park in Liberty Lake. Also, I want to add that not only did we celebrate the tea part but in doing so, I can mark another item off my Summer Fall Bucket List. So without further ado, here is our party.

We begin with the mandala curtain between the kitchen/ dining room and the living room. We decided to have the party indoors since we have curious neighbor children and a lot of our tea dishes are antiques and inherited from my Great Grandparents on my mother's side.

The tea cart with two tea pots. Our friend Rachael, who is the owner of Black Fire Kettle Corn, left some of her lovely kettle corn for us, so I added it to our fare. We have cup cakes too! Mind the cat bed, Narcisa will be upset if its moved.

Lots of fabric and pillows for comfort and to add in a little bit of a harem feel.

The ceiling.

Two tea cups for two different tea and look a duck!

Our Mad Hatter is has made her appearance behind the cookies!

Our Mad Hatter entertaining her guests

Passion fruit tea.

Blooming green tea with jasmine

Narcisa was happy to have treats of her own! She took a nice little nap after she ate.

Amanda made up honey turkey, horseradish cheddar, and chipotle Gouda pinwheel sandwiches. I made a chipotle past salad, cut up a pickle, and set out the Swedish Ginger Snaps, Orange Sunflower crackers, and the Moonlight cookies. Of course we had Rachael's kettle corn as well.

After letting that settle a bit, we had Green Tea Ice Cream (one of my favorites) and a cup cake. Amanda thought Monster High cup cakes were needed because our Mad Hatter is from Monster High.

Afterwards we noticed that Narcisa had slipped away somewhere.

We found her curled up under the tea cart. She decided that since we'd found her, she was going to entertain us by being cute and allowing me to take pictures of her.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone else's party! Hope you all had fun. Please stop by and see our Host's party, it was beautiful! Our host was A Fanciful Twist!

Update on the bucket list, Happy 4th, and today is a no pants no bra day

Happy Independence day to my American friends and Happy 4th to my international friends just because.

Today, I finally got that stupid paper finished. It's several hours late but I don't care. I find myself seriously bothered by the fact that I don't care and I think I am just ready to be done with school for awhile. Grad school is just going to have to wait for a bit, perhaps even longer than I intended for it t. I need some time. That being said, while I did look at my assignments this week, I am going to shut the computer down for a bit today and just sit pantless and braless, on the sofa. I might nap, I might read, I might watch anime or a movie, I might just sit and stare out the patio window while the birds and other various life forms run, hop, or fly around. I refuse to clean or do laundry or any more homework.

I just need to relax for a bit. I over did it last weekend, week, and even this latest weekend and am truly and wholly paying for it. I'm even starting to get a little sick.

My horrible aunt called me twice last week. I didn't answer because I didn't recognize either phone number from which she was calling. The 1st call was to tell me that she was in the hospital and was being treated for a blood clot in her lungs and that she'd been trying to get a hold of my mother for the last couple of days. Well, whether or not that was true, I wasn't up to playing her game, so I didn't return her call. I did, however, call my Dad and let him know so he could pass the message along to my Mom. Two days later, my aunt called again and left quite a long message stating that rehab couldn't give her what she needed, that she couldn't deal with my Mom, and that she wanted my Dad to give her injections. Also, and here is the best part, she didn't know what I had heard but that she has and will always love me and Amanda. That was when I deleted her message. I'm sorry, you don't get to tell your daughter that her best friend deserves AIDS because he is gay and then turn around and tell me, your niece, that you love me and my girlfriend when we live the same life style. Also, I've had it with how abominably she treats her daughter and my parents, especially my Mother. Actions have consequences bitch, it is time someone said enough is enough. I love my aunt and always will and it was really hard to cut her off, especially how family centered I am. However, I don't have to and refuse to put up with her shit anymore. Thankfully the people I care most about back home are finally starting to shut her out as well.

Moving on to fun, happy stuff. I have an update to my Summer/Fall 2016 Bucket list.
1.Try Das Stein Haus I previously wrote about this, it was delicious. If anyone is ever on the North side of Spokane Wa, look up Das Stein Haus for authentic German food, you won't be disapointed.
2.Silverwood with Amanda's Mom. Silverwood is always fun, lots of walking, but worth it. There's tons to see and do.
3.Stargazing (I actually want to do more and am going to break out my telescope one of these day)
4.Make Soap

I made soap. I will take it from the container today, cut it, and set it someplace safe to cure for the next 4-6 weeks. I really had fun doing it and would love to make some again, but I need to get some supplies of my own. Even though my friend was amazing and let me use a lot of her stuff, the next time I make soap, I want to use my own so I am not using up hers. This stuff is kind of expensive.

5.See Lord Chaddum at Le Chateu Galunt on July 3rd (game) It was a good game. I had a lot of fun and my character drop kicked sulfur into a bunch of zombies and killed three. YAY! We are also looking at an online gig to play on for when we can't get together but can play for just an hour or so in our own respective homes.
6. Get into the SCA (already started doing that- still a work in progress. However I do know that I am going to run two personas, one will be Viking- not sure which time period yet- and the other will be Chinese from around the 400s-600s, big time gap I know but I am narrowing it down.

It occurs to me that a lot what is on my Summer/Fall 2016 Bucket List is geared more for the Fall months. So, I have been thinking about what else I can do during the summer, today. I may add more to my list and I may move some things, like some of my craft projects from the fall months into the summer months so they are ready for fall. I like this momentum I have and would very much like to keep it going.

Summer/fall bucket list, gaming, Sword Art Online, Selling Sophie

Amanda and I have been watching Sword Art Online lately and we love it! Well, I love it and know she enjoys it. There's this squeeing fangirl squeeing over the romantic elements. I can't go into anything too much because I don't want to spoil it, however, lets just say, I almost cried today over something in the show.

Watching the show has made me long for the days that I played Guildwars with my Dad. So I actually logged on for a little bit this afternoon, after I got my homework done, and did a little running around. I am currently re-downloading Guildwars 2. I bought it for my old computer and hadn't downloaded it for the new one yet. I would love to get the Heart of Thorns expansion but I'm not even close to that yet.

This is my Guildwars main character, Heidi Von Nacht, she's the leader of the Kitsune Guard guild.

Anyway, this weekend we are getting away and going camping. More on that when I get back from the trip.

I am selling my jeep, Sophie (yes, I named my car) to a friend Rachael. I want to sell it to her minus the cost of repairs. One, she is going to tow it to get repaired and also she sunk money into a dud of a truck and since the jeep would be for her business, I would like to help her out a little there as well. After that, Amanda and I are going to trade in her car and we are going to get another vehicle. I am not sure what yet, but hopefully something we don't have to repair every damned time we turn around.

Lastly, Amanda has been hounding me today about putting up some of my summer/fall bucket list, so with that said, that is what I am going to do now.

Things that are already scheduled are as follows:
